The latest gem I’ve come across is the Museum of Broken Relationships-“a museum dedicated to broken hearts has been founded in Croatia. Authors of the concept Olinka Vištica and Drazen Grubišić decided to set up the museum after consoling friends over their failed romances. It is an art concept which proceeds from the assumption that objects possess integrated fields – ‘holograms’ of memories and emotions – and intends with its layout to create a space of ‘secure memory’ or ‘protected remembrance’ in order to preserve the material and nonmaterial heritage of broken relationships.”

• a zippo lighter that has the Japanese Kanji for love printed on it
• purple elastic bands that hold asparagus
  

Reading over the most recent stories, it instantly reminds me of Post Secret and seems like a means for people dealing with difficult personal traumas or realizations.  It also makes me think of the doctrine of Freud, specifically his endorsement of catharsis. Maybe being able to compact often overwhelming feelings and then pressing send is conduit for release and relief. Not immediately instant, you first  must submit sentences to whoever deems them acceptable to be published on the site

Now with over 2 million members, this site embodies the concept of folksonomy. Their mantra is that if you do not record your goals and share them, you will likely never achieve them.  You can start making your “Life List” right  away by entering your goals on the home page. When I entered “Write a Novel”, I saw that 9140 others have the same goal but nobody else wanted to “volunteer at UBC farm”. Once you fill out the three goal spaces, it takes you to a free login space.  Once you enter a goal, it shows you who else is trying to accomplish it and approximately how long it takes.

You can even share your 43 things on Facebook.

This portal has been reformatted with a new lens. I will now be introducing you to the space which has captivated my attention since before I had a braces (probably even before that)that has transformed into Web 2.0. I will bring you breaking news or fresh insight on the social media, online tools and pretty much everything the internet has to offer to make your life:
